From August 4–9, 2025, our team had the honor of representing India in a 26-member delegation for the Training Program & Industrial Visits on Smart Manufacturing, jointly organized by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and the China Productivity Centre (CPC) in Taiwan. The delegation included 21 participants from the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and its member companies, along with 5 colleagues from the National Productivity Council of India (NPC). We were proud to be part of this enriching journey on behalf of Aum Dacro.
The program began with two days of knowledge sessions led by Professor Chen Yang Chang (Taiwan Technical University), who shared his expertise on production challenges faced by industries and introduced us to Raspberry Pi programming for automation. These sessions offered a practical understanding of how automation and digital integration are shaping the manufacturing landscape in Taiwan, while also highlighting productivity gaps that many Asian countries, including India, need to address.
The industrial visits were equally eye-opening. At the Shuter Dream Factory 🏭, we witnessed a fully automated production system, where out of 300 employees, only 20 people are deployed per shift on the shop floor—an outstanding example of efficiency and technology at work. At Formosa Science University 🎓, we experienced how academia and industry collaborate closely to create agile, practical, and future-ready solutions for real-world challenges.
Beyond technical learning, Taiwan left a deep impression with its discipline, punctuality, civic sense, clean infrastructure, and respect for public spaces. From smooth, pothole-free roads to orderly traffic and zero haphazard parking, every detail reflected the country’s culture of responsibility.
This journey was more than just a professional experience—it was about inspiration, collaboration, and growth. We return with renewed insights on how technology, discipline, and processes together can drive excellence.
